Who is Dr. Mac? Hello, my name is Kevin Mallory, and I am the owner of Dr. Mac – The Apple Tech, and “The technical doctor who still makes house calls on all things Apple” and so much more…

I am your local Apple products training and repair specialist serving the Butte, Plumas, Tehama, Glenn, Yuba, Shasta, Sutter, Colusa, Lassen and Sierra County area of California and beyond since 1986.

I am proud to assist folks with their favorite Apple devices, whether that be a Macintosh, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Watch, or perhaps helping them with their printers, WiFi, routers, the much dreaded passwords, and so much more. 

I now live in Chico, California, and work out of my vehicle, going to homes and businesses wherever my customers might need assistance. A typical day finds me mostly traveling around the Butte, Glenn, Plumas and Tehama County area. 

Dr. Mac started business in Plumas County in the mid 1980s, developing a very solid base of customers, whom we still proudly service today. We then moved to Paradise, where unfortunately we had a little “Camp Fire” that got out of hand in the back yard in late 2018. After the fire, we moved to Glenn County for 7 months, living in a fifth wheel with our three dogs Cooper, Jax and Lucy. The skyrocketing price of real estate in the Chico area after the fire pushed us into neighboring Corning, in Tehama County, where we lived until early 2022 before moving to Chico. This puts me closer to 97% of my client base. However, we still service all the areas we’ve lived. . 

Though I work alone in my business, I have several computer professionals who I might call on to assist me with projects when the need arises. I’m very blessed to receive referrals from the vast majority of the professional repair facilities in the area.
